• Answer call lights and assist with patient needs
• Obtain and record vital signs
• Monitor post-surgical dressings and drainage
•Observe and Identify abnormal signs and symptoms and report to nurse
• Report and record abnormal findings, patterns, habits, and behaviors of acute care patients;
• Take action within designated responsibilities and as directed by the RN for abnormal findings, patterns, habits and behaviors of acute care patients;
• Assist with patient admission and discharge
• Collect lab specimens as required
• Assist health team with special procedures
• Observe effects of pain treatment and report to licensed staff
