    Nursing - LVN

The Vocational Nursing program is a one-year program leading to a certificate in vocational nursing which prepares the graduate to take the examination to become a licensed vocational nurse.

The program is accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission, telephone number (212) 363-5555.

Licensure must be granted by the State Board of Vocational Nurse Examiners. The Vocational Nursing program requires graduation from high school or attainment of the GED.

In addition, the applicant must take the TASP test, which is the pre-entrance test for the vocational nursing program. Acceptance in the program requires passing the reading, writing, and math portions of the TASP, or completion of required developmental courses.
